Best Family Owned Business

We are humbled to have been chosen as the winner of the 2017 Family Owned Business Awards presented by Nevada Business. Sala Family Dentistry was nominated in the “Don’t Forget to Share” category.

The program included 30 finalists from Northern Nevada in 10 different categories. All the finalists were chosen by a blue-ribbon panel of judges including Nevada executives and decision-makers.

Our family dentistry is dedicated to giving back to the Reno/Tahoe community. Since 2008 we’ve given back $1,150,000 to the community through multiple organizations and events. Educating the young is a huge priority to us and we strive to do so with our various programs throughout the year such as the Sala Family Dental Fair, Let The Kid’s Vote and visiting various elementary schools during National Children’s Dental Health Month.

Dr. Jason and Dr. Todd Sala both grew up in Reno and are fourth generation Nevadans. After they both received their degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, they followed their family’s legacy and attended the University of Louisville, where he, his brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather all attended.

The Sala brothers are much more than dentists. The two of them have been teaching dentists and other medical professionals from all over the United States, Canada, and Europe on how to improve their patient care since 2011. 

Dr. Jason and Dr. Todd truly value teaching children the importance of good oral health—each February they volunteer their time to teach elementary students at local schools. They also participate in the Northern Nevada Dental Health Program which offers dental care to children in need. Family truly comes first for this family and they make sure to exude that out into the community.
