You are in control of how you think and what you say to yourself. By protecting what you allow into your mind–social media, news, politics, COVID–and shutting off the TV or computer, you can improve what you mentally say to yourself. Instead, seek out podcasts on your favorite topic, exercise, read a book, listen to music, or spend quality time with friends and family. By becoming aware of negative self-talk and identifying outside negative influences, you can change your mindset. Challenge yourself to limit social media, be intentional with your thoughts, and enjoy a new outlook.
